CLASS
In this weeks class we played the age old game of whisper down the lane. Although I found it hard to believe, Professor Mangini had said that he had never played this game before. He proceeded to whisper a statement into Dan's ear and then it started to find its way down the lane. This provided many smiles and laughter throughout the class which is always fun. As it reached Julia last, she then announced the end result. By that time it had been shortened to about four words. I knew this wasn't the statement that i had previously heard. As always, this game just goes to show that when something is passed through too many channels, it becomes something else completely. In short, if want to get your point across, then just do it yourself. Kayleigh volunteered for a demonstration which involved her driving her imaginary Buick around the classroom. This provided us with many laughs, along with a good lesson on who to trust for directions. We also did a lot of note taking and discussed our Room for Debate paper. Tonight's class was fun and enlightening!

Well I just have to jump right into Halloween night. Nicholas was the most adorable Woody from Toy Story that you have ever seen. His costume came together great. We got some really good pics which is hard to do with an active 4yr old. Nick was up early that morning, he ran around all day as I cleaned the house. I had hoped to get him down for a nap but then the kids down the street came banging on our door. I'm going to put a sign on the door so they know when NOT to knock up for him. So the nap never happened, making trick or treating with a tired kid rough. We walked from my mom mom's house to my mom's house, hitting every house on the way. By the time we got to my mom's, Nick was ready to start ripping his costume off and I obliged him. The little bugger finally passed out on our drive home. I was super excited Tuesday night when i found out that I got an 85 on my Body Structure test. Adding to my excitement was the 97 I got on my project for the class. I totally thought I had failed that test! I didn't think i did very well on my project but I got it in just in time for the 10 extra points. Needless to say, I sang every song on the radio as I drove home, feeling FANTASTIC about myself. Man, those are great moments when you have them.
